In the Transmedia Area, undergraduate students are acquainted with the historical development, critical ideas, and current practices pertaining to time-based art. The program is directed toward the exploration and expansion of tradition by search of experimental practices. With
strong emphasis on individually defined subjects, projects Teaching facilities include up- to- date production and post-production and presentation facilities for sound, video animation, graphic and film projects. Those include analog and digital video camcorders, analog and digital sound recording and editing equipment, animation workstations, 16 mm film camera, portable and studio lighting and small and large format video presentation equipment (see below). The Transmedia Area keeps maximum available open lab hours** and a helpful interaction with Teaching Assistants (Transmedia, Sculpture, and Painting graduate program). In addition, computer image and sound processing facilities are accessible for class projects in the ARTL computer lab as well as the COFA computer lab.
